Maercker School Fundraiser: Children Helping Children Around the World

23 Jan Maercker School Fundraiser: Children Helping Children Around the World

UPDATE: We did it! We reached our goal of $5,000!!! The total amount raised below only reflects what was donated online through this website, but we actually exceeded the $5,000 goal! Thanks to everyone for an incredible fundraising campaign! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Africa School Assistance Project (ASAP) is a non-profit organization committed to increasing access to quality public education in rural Tanzania. Why? Because widely available public education makes the world a better place for everyone! Yet, Tanzania struggles with one of the worst education systems in East Africa. The ultimate goal of ASAP is to develop community schools and provide comprehensive education support in rural regions of Tanzania. Sachin, a 5th grader Maercker student, was inspired to raise funds for children in Africa who do not have the same educational opportunities. He and the Student Leadership Teams are running this fundraiser from March - April of the 2017-2018 school year, to support ASAP. The school-wide goal is to raise $5,000! These funds will go towards important school projects, such as a clean drinking water system at Idetemya Secondary School in northern Tanzania (click the "Projects" link above to see a map of ASAP's projects). Please support this important cause and make a donation today!
