Tanzanian Adventure & Service Trips

border-image

Looking for a community service adventure this summer?  Or for an epic mountain climbing expedition to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro?  A trip that combines making a valuable contribution to the world while seeing the beauty of East Africa?  Africa School Assistance Project (ASAP) builds schools in rural Tanzanian villages and each summer leads groups to work on the schools. ASAP is currently seeking adventurers for school building trips in June 2023. We welcome adults and children alike—anyone with an adventurous spirit and a big heart!

In 2023 we will be working in a rural area outside of Arusha, Tanzania to build, expand and enhance school facilities for school children of the area.

Volunteers will live in a beautiful, secure campsite in the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro.  The area is lush and the altitude keeps the temperatures in a comfortable range.  Our fees include every expense so nothing is left to pay for once on-site.  The campsite is fully staffed and volunteers are served three delicious cooked meals per day and 100% bottled water.  Camping toilets and warm water for bathing is provided.  Volunteers will spend their days working on school building projects, and will spend their evenings under some of the most stunning stars visible from anywhere on earth!

“I feel so lucky to have traveled to Africa with ASAP, and to be a part of the amazing work they are doing. There is no better feeling than holding one of the primary school students hands, looking into their smiling faces, and knowing that your work is quite literally changing their life.”

High School Student Trip (June 2-15 2023)

High School Student Trip to Tanzania:  June 2-15, 2023

Africa School Assistance Project, together with Kent Denver School, is offering an exciting community service opportunity for high school students!  Our 13-day community service adventure to Tanzania combines a week of volunteering to build a school in a rural village with cultural field trips to explore and enjoy the beauty of this unique place.  Students will work hard, enjoy the sights and experiences of Africa and finish their trip with a safari into one of Tanzania’s most iconic game parks!  Students will be chaperoned at all times and will receive 50 hours of community service credit towards graduation requirements or for college applications.

We are pleased to offer 1 scholarship to a deserving student.  Please email us at info@AfricaSchoolAssistanceProject.org if you are interested or if you have questions about your eligibility.

For more information, please email or call 720-357-6522.

Friends & Family Trip (June 18-25, 2023)

ASAP volunteers for this trip are families with children, groups of friends or single adults, all of whom want to experience the beauty of Africa while building a legacy of education for hundreds of children.  And, Tanzania is the perfect place to add on a safari in some of the best wild animal preserves in the world! Volunteers for the Family & Friends Volunteer Trip are required to pay their own travel expenses, including a fee for the week in the village to cover local transportation, supported camping, three meals a day and bottled water.  We also ask that each volunteer donate or raise $2,000 to help fund our school projects (this is separate from the fee as it is 100% tax-deductible).

Please email us at Info@AfricaSchoolAssistanceProject.org if you are interested in joining us!

The trip will accommodate a maximum of 14 volunteers.

Mt. Kilimanjaro Expedition (June/July, 2023)
