Chole Primary School
The village of Chole lies in a rural community on the banks of Lake Victoria. Extremely motivated yet struggling to build their primary school, until 2013 the Chole community had only constructed four partially built classrooms. In November 2013 ASAP met with community leaders and formed a strong partnership to help build their school.
Construction began in 2014 and since then we’ve renovated and built 9 classrooms, constructed rainwater catchment and water cisterns, student and teacher toilets, furnished hundreds of school desks and other furniture, and assisted with teacher training and community health education for more than 500 students and thousands of community members!
