Zach Swett

Executive Director

As the Executive Director of the Africa School Assistance Project (ASAP), Zach leads a dedicated team in their mission to enhance education in rural Tanzania. Zach takes on a multifaceted role that encompasses the complete management of the organization, including fundraising, strategic planning, project execution, volunteer trip leadership, financial oversight, personnel management, and partnership development. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in Tanzania, he has been instrumental in driving impactful community development and education programs within the country.

On a personal note, Zach’s life has been a journey marked by a deep love for exploration, beginning with early travels to Fiji and Tonga, sailing from the United States to Venezuela, and living abroad in countries from South America to Africa. Beyond his life at ASAP, Zach can be found spending time with his family, playing music, and adventuring in the outdoors.
